Time Will Tell is the first book I was lucky enough to paint the cover for. It is a wonderful Sci -Fi story of a time traveller sent from the future to change the outcome of a Nazi-run world. Aliens, talking dogs, and dinosaurs are also involved. It's quite crazy and a lot of fun. Order Here!
I have completed my first book cover. The image is for a new Science Fiction book written by Eddie Upnick and published by Eloquent Books called "Time Will Tell". It should be on sale in January of 2010. I will give an update when it is on the market.
I have just added Hand of Flame and Goblin Watcher to my Gallery. Also I am showing my Time Showdown piece at the Silpe Gallery in the University of Hartford, and my Mother Nature piece at the Southern Vermont Art Center.
I really should update this site every time I finish a painting, sorry. Anywho, her are my latest 3, Elk, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (which I did while at the Illustration Master Class), and Mother Nature.
White Stag and Grizzly Bear are part of an ongoing series I am making, it's a way of keeping busy in between larger paintings. Agents of Artifice is the first piece created out of the Running with Paintbrushes blog. Please check it out, it's a really wonderful blog Becca Solow, Scott Murphy and I have created.
For anyone who is living or visiting the Berkshires right now, stop by Miller's Art Supply in Pittsfield, MA. I have just received the very honorable award of Best in Show for "The Lands March" by the Dalton Arts Guild in their 10th Annual Membership Show. I thank them all for their support from the beginning, I won my first award in their show when I was in High School. A First Place award for a sculpture I did of a Tapir.
I have moved in with my girlfriend, Sarah Thein, so that means a new address:
30-57 32nd St.
Apt. 4B
Astoria, NY 11102
I have just finished a new painting depicting the Old Testament story of Judith cutting off the head of the Assyrian General, Holofernes, after seducing him. She is a great example of strong Jewish women in history and I have been wanting to paint her for a long time (ever since I saw Carravaggio's version.)
I have just started a blog. It outlines a lot of my process along with showing pieces that may or may not make it on to this site. I will also post figure drawings. Have a good one!
Just added to the Gallery is "Caradhras" and "Secrets from the Passed".
The new issue of Pathways is on sale now and my image of "The Hyperopic and his Study" is featured on the cover. Also "The Lands March" should be on one of the interior pages.
I have just added a new piece entitled "Black Tide" to my gallery. It is my first album cover for the band Pyramideon. They are an awesome prog-rock band from Massachusetts. You can visit them on their myspace page at www.myspace.com/pyramideon.
I should have put this up a long time ago. I was accepted into the Unpublished category in the Society of Illustrators West Annual show. The Link to the site is in the links section of this page. Also I should note that my Gambit piece will be on display at the Hartford Art School's Silpe Gallery until Sept 15th.
New Painting: Macbeth has just been added to the Gallery. A larger painting based on the famous Shakespearean play.
This is my new site. If any of you had trouble seeing my site before and/or had trouble browsing the different sections, that has all been fixed. Thanks to my wonderful friend/designer Duran Rose, he is a truely glorious soul.
